Review by hotel critic
Review of Avernaes HotelAs an outdoor adventure blogger, I was eager to explore the Avernaes Hotel during a family vacation. We stayed for one night, drawn to its promise of family-friendly amenities and activities amidst the beautiful scenery. Upon arrival, we found ourselves in a very small room tucked away at the end of a corridor, which felt reminiscent of the kids' room. This was disappointing, especially given the price. To our surprise, we discovered that there were wedding and birthday parties happening that weekend; no prior notice had been given. The vibrant celebrations could be heard echoing through the hallway, adding to the anticipation of a lively evening. Dining was another area where we hoped for a pleasant experience, as the hotel's restaurant was fully booked, and there were limited options nearby. Breakfast, however, proved to be a standout moment, showcasing homemade breads that my family truly enjoyed. While the location is promising for families seeking adventure, we left feeling that clearer communication about events would greatly enhance the overall experience. I hope the hotel can provide a more coherent experience for families in the future.
